Nigel Davies
President

Nigel founded VMG Print Group in the 1990s, specialising in printed electronics and products for the automotive and transport sectors. He strives to develop tools to systemise businesses and allow business owners to control their businesses. His MIS software M-Power Software helps companies automate their workflows more efficiently.

David Asker

Vice President

Following an early career in medical imaging and photography in the UK, David moved to Australia in 1985 and continued working in design and photography. Jointly founding ImageBox with Dominic Borrello in 1988, the business soon established itself as a trusted service in large format print and a market leader and innovator in digital graphics. David is involved in the daily operations, sales and marketing and business administration. Importantly, he also works on strategy as the business continues to innovate and develop new products and services for the market.

Keith is recognised in the Asia Pacific region as one of the most influential people in the industry and has been inducted into the FESPA Hall of Fame and in 2014 he was awarded the FESPA World Printer of the Year. He is one of the founders of Cactus Imaging, starting in New Zealand in 1992. Cactus Imaging has now become known throughout the world as one of the leading grand format production companies in the Southern Hemisphere.

Matt Ashman

Supplier Representative

Matt cut his teeth in the advertising industry in London’s, Soho in the late ’80’s working with some top agency’s on their photographic campaigns and imagery. A photographer by trade, he always leaned to the more technical and challenging areas of the industry. In the late ‘90’s, he was invited to join Durst on the Technical Sales Team of Durst UK and in 2015 the opportunity arose in Australia to help the Durst distributor grow the Durst brand in the region, and this led to the launch of Durst Oceania, which is currently headed up by Matt.

Bianca Martin

Public Relations

Bianca is currently the Commercial Manager at IVE Brand Activations. She has superior interpersonal and written communication skills, including building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. With a proven track record in the achievement of sales outcomes through high-level negotiation skills, attention to detail, and implementation of creative and innovative ‘point of sale’ strategies, Bianca is always willing to explore new business opportunities and implement innovative marketing solutions.

Our History


Today

Membership and event participation is growing strongly. FFL Leadership program launched an held to the first FESPA Australia Conference, People Planet Profit.

2019

June 2019 the board votes to change the name to FESPA Australia following approval from FESPA International. Becoming one of 37 international association members.

2013

2013 another name change to the Speciality Graphic Imaging Association of Australia ( still the SGIAA )

96 -00

In 1996 our name changes to SGIAA Screen and Graphic Imaging Association 2000 New Zealand businesses are welcomed to join as members.

1990's

Founding member of SPAA and Federal President Glen Crerar passes away. The Glen Crerar Memorial Education Trust established to foster young industry talent.

60 - 80

International Congress held in 1974. Name change to SPAA in 1980.

1950's

The Screen Process Printing Association International, Australian Chapter founded in Sydney, December 1958.
